The New Benaki Museum is pleased to present a retrospective of Yorgos Lazongas' drawings from March 7 until April 2, 2006. From very early on Yiorgos Lazongas had the habit of drawing on sheets of typewriter paper. As a tool of research, drawing played an significant role in the whole of his work; an everyday habit that formed his visual perception and style overall. These drawn notes turn into a lifetime diary, which is presented through a retrospective at the exhibition. More than 500 drawings are shown: A4 size sheets; 2.5mx3m surfaces; as well as smaller surfaces, along with videos and projections.
