The 6th International Wine Competition takes place in Thessaloniki from March 2 to 4, 2006. A total of 617 Greek and foreign wines will compete in this event organized by the Wine Producers Association of the Northern Greece Vineyard in cooperation with international exhibition "Detrop Oenos". The “Thessaloniki International Wine Competition” appears to have a stable and successful course, collecting wines from all over the world, judged by remarkable Greek and foreigner tasters. In the competition will participate wines from Greece and other 13 countries (Argentina, Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, United States, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Portugal). The announcement of the results and the awards ceremony will take place in Athens, lasting the International Wine Competition, Eau-de-Vie and Vitivinicultural Equipment Fair "Oenorama 2006", on 11th of March 2006, during a Gala dinner at Grande Bretagne Hotel. The public will have the opportunity to taste the prize winning wines in “Oenorama 2006” exhibition taking place in EKEP Metamorphosis, Athens.
