The Museum of Cycladic Art presents an exhibition with works by distinguished Greek painter Alexis Akrithakis. The showcase entitled "A.... as Akrithakis" runs from February 8 to April 8. This exhibition is a colorful glossary that includes exciting moments of Alexis Akrithakis' life and visions. The works on display -colors, words and writings- are presented in alphabetical order. This artistic alphabet leads to new, unexpected correlations and impressive images. It gives the spectators the chance to come closer to the magic world of Akrithakis' painting and understand his symbolisms: the aeroplane, the geographies, the Scripts, the travelling suitcase, the suns, the small theatres, the magic tree, the flames and the hearts. "Sometimes I paint half the work and complete the rest with words," Akrithakis noted.
