The world’s largest interactive exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions, a unique and innovative event featuring 40 all-functioning, life-sized machines takes place at the Athens' Foundation of Hellenic World from January 31 to March 31, 2006. The exhibits take the visitor into the miraculous world of machines invented by Leonardo da Vinci. The uniqueness of the event lies in the fact that the mechanisms are life-sized and fully operational. Visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining fun with instruction. The exhibition also presents a large screen displaying Da Vinci’s drawings and notes, the basis used for construction. Furthermore, a short documentary film on the artist’s life will be shown in a particularly conceived space, as part of the educational program.
