Vamiali’s presents the solo show of Greek artist Dimitra Vamiali entitled “what do you call a camel at the north pole?-lost” from 21 January - 25 February 2006. The exhibition consists of numerous small scale paintings and 3 dimensional works where domesticity meets artificial nature and pornography meets interior design. Vamiali uses given images from history of art to popular culture and creates a new narration which deals with relationships about control, definition, domination and hierarchy. In her works the final result gets away from the original point of departure. Vamiali organises the physical space like she arranges the street experience. With small scale sculptural installations unfolds the world which is in constant development, just to escape from it.
